Once I have listened to Anthony Robbins’s Personal Power II, in which there is a lecture called “The Power of Focus”.

 And these days I was convinced that the power of focus is really magical. You can decide how you see a problem or a situation, and by that you will have totally different results.

One of my best friends, Mia, told me that these days she was not feeling well, since there is some guy that is going to be her competitor in the company. She felt stress and cannot get out of it. And then she shared it with me and at that very moment I was fully inspired by the “The Power of Focus”.

To a specific problem, if you focus on the problem itself, you try your best to figure out why that becomes a problem and how bad it is as a problem. And then you start to panic, and feel bad about the situation and have no way out. Ultimately, a problem is a problem.

However, if you change your focus, let’s say, focus on the solution to the problem. We may have something like below:

Problem One:     ***          ———–    Solution One:     ***

Problem Two:     ***          ———–    Solution Two:     ***

Problem Three:   ***          ———–    Solution Three:  ***

Therefore, ultimately you will see a solution list to the problem list. And then you resolve the problem.

Summary:

The Power of Focus

          If the focus of your mind is on positive impacts, then it is positive;

          If the focus of your mind is on negative impacts, then it is negative.

How We Manage The Power of Focus

If we focus on the problem itself, then it is indeed a problem;

If we switch our focus on the solution to the problem, the facts, then we will find our way to resolve the problem.

Therefore, we should always try not to focus on the problem itself, but focus on the solution to it.
